Saint Francis Medical Center College of Nursing offers students an opportunity to obtain a graduate degree through online learning and practice in varied settings. The masters in nursing clinician students are involved in evidenced based practice, research, leadership, collaboration, and consultation with interdisciplinary teams. The masters educator students have opportunities to teach in educational settings such as colleges and universities. The college offers a Doctor of Nursing Practice DNP) option, taught predominantly online, which prepares graduates for the most advanced level of nursing. These graduates will be able to continue expert practice and lead at the highest level of nursing.
Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
The College of Nursing has designed a predominantly online post-master's Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program. This 39-credit program is designed for part time study. The DNP program provides the academic preparation for master's-prepared nurses to acquire advanced knowledge of biostatistics, cultural competency, epidemiology, and advancements in health care.
